Hearts and Stripes

Today’s post is a fast one.  In these photos I wear a cardigan from f21, a top from Target (worn backwards to expose the lace portion of the top), and a skirt from H&M.

Either Casey approves of these Valentino suede, laser-cut booties or she’s considering how tasty these will be to chew on later …

Pirate Wench

Filed under: Fashion — SASY @ 11:24 pm

Our four-day heat wave has broken, so I felt motivated to snap a few shots today.  In this post, I show you my new top I picked up a few weeks ago.  Doesn’t it remind you of some of McQueen’s mid-career work?  That was certainly my first thought.

Wearing it here with a super-full skirt and lace bodysuit, I feel like a pirate wench or maybe a duck (but in a good way).

I had planned originally on doing a richer post by wearing this top in various ways, but I think I’ll have to revisit that idea due to weather and time constraints.

Top: f21, lace bodysuit: Topshop, skirt: Erin Fetherston, tights: Wolford, booties: YSL

Channeling Sue Ellen

Filed under: Fashion — SASY @ 11:42 pm

Today’s outfit reminds me of something Sue Ellen Ewing, fictional character from the 80s television soap opera Dallas, might have worn.  Since we are in an 80s redux at the moment, the look feels timely.

Normally, I defer to the camera when it comes to judging whether or not something I wear should see the light of day.  In this case, I overrode the camera’s opinion and wore it anyway.  The blouse and skirt really do look much better in person than in photos.

Sometimes I Pout

The reason for the pout …

These are the f21 Miu Miu knock off platforms I was so excited to order. I had been having some awesome luck with f21 shoes, so it was quite disappointing to see that these beasts not only run huge, but are very, very poorly engineered. All of the shoe’s weight is concentrated at the front, so toppling is a very likely possibility. Anyway, as you can see from the first photo, I changed out of the knock offs and ended up going with the real deal — my Miu Miu Cat shoes.

Check out the neck bow on this dress. Such a sexy secretary vibe …

Two Girls At Sunset

Filed under: Fashion — SASY @ 11:47 pm

Casey nearly knocked me over trying to get into today’s photos. Since I outweigh her by only 20 lbs., she almost succeeded.

A nice lady, from one of the message boards I visit, reminded me about my vintage pleated leather skirt I wear today.  I wore this skirt a couple of times last fall (here’s how I wore it for the first time last fall ) and it seems that this fall everyone and their dog has some version of a pleated leather skirt for sale.
