Out of all the clothes I have (that I can wear in public ), Mr. Sasy’s favorite item is my Hello Kitty Talk Nerdy To Me tee shirt. I ordered HK TNTM from Forever 21 about a year ago and she has been worn on the blog before. Since it gives me so much joy to see Mr. Sasy’s eyes light up like Christmas, I pulled Hello Kitty out of my tee shirt drawer and took her for a spin with us this evening.
We finally had a rain-free day, but it was still very cold and windy. I nearly froze to death taking these pictures, so there are only two of them!
With Miss Kitty (what we call HK here in the Sasy household), I wear a Blumarine cardigan, a skirt from Forever 21, and Chloe wedges.
That’s all for now, but more is coming soon. — Carole
Some time ago, Mr. Sasy and I were traveling down the freeway and a great song played on the radio. I suggested that we hit the closest Best Buy so I could pick it up immediately. The only CD that had that song was a “Greatest Hits” compilation, so we bought that one. Every time I played that CD (which I keep in my car), I only listened to that particular song. Anyway, I’ve been a little bored with my “car” music (and too lazy to change my CDs), so I listened to the rest of that CD. Today’s post title is inspired by my “new favorite” song from Van Halen titled, “Dreams”. There is a line in the song that says, “We belong in a world that must be strong.” I am inspired also by my recently purchased Haider Ackermann “strong shouldered” jacket. So, there you have it … this is the logic behind my post title. On with the fashion …
The next two pictures were snapped in closeup mode. Despite having plenty of sun, that mode invoked the flash, so kindly ignore the massive explosion of light that blasted my face.
This HA jacket is so cool. The strong shoulders are edged in zipper teeth.
I wear a black silk skirt with sculptural details from Antonio Berardi (which deserves its own post someday in the future), a top from Target, a Steven Dweck necklace, Wolford Stardust black and gold tights, and LAMB triple lace booties.
Oh, yeah, I almost forgot to say, Sammy Hagar really is the better singer. If you haven’t heard the song or want to hear it again, here you go …
Before I close today’s post, I would like to say a big “Thank you!” to become.com for featuring my blog on their Carnival of Shopping page.
I finally break out my Miu Miu cat print shoes for today and here they are …
Though I had difficulty getting motivated to shoot pictures today, I ended up having some gorgeous back light. It went very quickly though …
So, I set up over here …
And my light went very quickly here too. I had to convert the next picture to black and white in order to save it. In this image, I’d like to introduce you to Dog. I haven’t come up with a name I like yet, but Dog represents my latest attempt to get my real dog, Casey, to take pictures with me. As you can see, it didn’t work. Casey is not jealous. It turns out she will work only for cookies, but I have to limit her cookies these days because she’s getting too fat.
Not only will Dog take pictures with me, I figure I can strap him into the passenger seat of my car and qualify for the Car Pool lane on Bay Area freeways. OK, probably not.
And here are the shoes …
I also wore a Martin + Osa printed tissue tee, a Forever 21 “tribal print” skirt, and a Miu Miu pale blue skirt under the f21 skirt.
That’s all for now. Thanks always for reading. — Carole
I thought it would be fun to shoot a sort of action sequence for this post.
I wear a silk Notte by Marchesa dress in a fun “beaded” trompe l’oeil print, a Marzi hat, and Manolo Blahnik pumps. I think shooting a string of events does a great job of showing the dress in motion. However, because I am in motion, the photos are blurry. Maybe next time I try this, I’ll know how to take photos while moving.
