I’ve been wearing so much black and gray lately, I felt like I needed a little color in my life. It’s really unlike me to not wear a lot of color. After all, I do live in the suburbs and I am proud that I do. I show that pride tonight by wearing plenty of color …
Here I wear a red sweater from Piazza Sempione, a red scarf from Target, a brown suede skirt from Moschino Cheap and Chic, and Michael Kors lace-up boots.
The skirt is dark brown suede and has embroidered flowers done in a multitude of wool yarns and is finished with red leather topstitch detailing …
You can also see the detail of the Target scarf that is nearly a dead ringer for a lilac Loro Piana scarf I have.
Here’s a closeup of the Michael Kors boots I bought many years ago. I have worn these so much, I can’t believe they still look as immaculate as they do — no mean feat, considering these boots have traipsed the dirty streets of San Francisco many, many times. Anyway, they are a dark chocolate deerskin leather and have truly functional lace-up closures.
And here I strike a Quasimodo-esque pose … *sigh*, photography is hard …
Note to self: Don’t raise shoulder when wearing scarf in pictures. Will I remember this? Likely not.
