When I first saw this jacket about 5 years ago, I fell in love. It’s a “military” jacket from Moschino Cheap and Chic. And, as you’d expect, it’s a little crazy and quirky — very much in the Moschino tradition. This is another piece of mine that needed a lot of tailoring. I very recently got around to getting that done and now I wear it.

In these side shots, my “photographic assistant”, Casey, helped me with these pictures by knocking the tripod off balance; hence, my cut off head.
Anyway, I want to show you the crazy pocket detail on this jacket.

My “photographic assistant”, Casey …

The pockets are all different sizes (and the metal buttons too) and are haphazardly placed on the jacket.

I also wear a leather skirt from the 80s, a William B lace top, Target ombre tights, and shoes from Banfi Zambrelli.

That’s all for now. — Carole

What a fun jacket – I adore the cute pocket near your wrist! It really is the details that make the the item, isn’t it?
I have a pile of clothes that need to go to the tailor. Your posts keep reminding me to do that!

Hi Jessica,
I hadn’t thought about it like that, but if I were to choose a pocket as a favorite, it would be that wrist pocket too.
I think I will always have an unending pile of clothes that need work. *sigh* I really don’t like to go to my tailor.

Thanks, franelann. I’m glad the camera caught the ombre detailing — I wasn’t sure it would.

I love the leather skirt and the jacket. I need to take some clothes to the tailor also, but I worry that they will mess them up! I still haven’t found a tailor I like, but I only tried one and I don’t think he liked me too much. strange dude. I love your dog! Post more photos of you two together. He is such a cutie =) I adore animals! I like the leather mixed with the lace. Lovin your blog!

Thank you, Jacqueline.
I understand your pain with tailors. I have to find a new one myself because the one I’ve been going to for years has totally flaked out. Not just with me, but with a lot of her customers.
Thanks for your kind words about Casey. I would love for her to be in every picture with me, but she is afraid of the camera. I got that picture of her before she saw the camera hidden behind my back. I’m careful not to upset her much because she was a rescue dog. Her prior owner abused her very badly and nearly starved her to death. So, just happy, fun, stress-free times for my girl now.
I really like your blog too!

Carole, I love love love that jacket. All the pockets and buttons are simply amazing. And I’m smitten with your shoes! And the tights! (Clearly I am on some sort of tights bender at the moment…but…are those still available in stores?) And I love it when Casey makes a guest appearance

Anjali,
You are so sweet!
Those tights are last year and sold out fast. I remember because I went back pretty quickly to get more and they were history. I heard they did 3 colorways and I got 2. Never did know what the third colorway was, but I picked up the gray/black and a coral/red (which is going to be hard to incorporate into my wardrobe).
I wish Casey would be in every picture. *sigh* She is totally fearless with everything except the camera.
