I liked the suede, Topshop Britany2, thigh-high boots so much, I got them in leather too!

I wear the boots with an ultra-conservative “top-portion” of the outfit. The boucle skirt is from D&G and the sweater is Ralph Lauren. The sweater is worn backwards here — you wouldn’t believe the ruffle overload on the other side — very Blair Waldorf’s last season, Bill Blass blouse. I know you “Gossip Girl” fans will know immediately what I’m talking about!
I thought about getting a picture of the back, but unfortunately, I just thought about it and didn’t shoot it. However, I quickly found a picture of “Blair” in her blouse, so if you can imagine these ruffles as a knit rather than a fabric, it’s what the other side (technically, the front side) looks like …

Anyway, I decided to go in a demure direction because the first thing that comes to mind with a thigh-high boot is “Pretty Woman”. I’ve never seen that movie, but I believe I understand the gist of it and I have no desire to come off that way.
The second most common “thigh-high” boot scenario which comes to mind is a somewhat urban look, a la Anne Hathaway’s “The Devil Wears Prada” character. There’s nothing wrong with that look, I simply wanted to do something a little more unexpected. And, I think I did.

The Britany2 is very nice in either suede or leather, but I like the suede ones best. Because of their texture, the suede ones are simply easier to wear.
I have to show you the cute pocket detail on the skirt that simply obliterated my will power to say, “No.” to purchasing this skirt.

It invokes such a “winter wonderland” feeling, doesn’t it?
That’s all for now. See you soon. — Carole
