Better late than never to put into practice something that inspired me over a year ago. I always save looks from the runway shows that I really like and eventually get around to implementing whatever it was that caught my eye. This post’s inspiration is from the S/S 2009 (yes, I do realize 2010 is showing right now — I’m just not inspired yet) Ossie Clark show during London Fashion Week. When I saw the dark navy blue and orange color combination, I was in love. Specifically, this is what I refer to …

My take on the color combination …

Something Bold – orange coat from Andrew Gn
Something Blue – dark navy, origami top from Marni
Something Inspired by — orange and navy color combination seen at Ossie Clark S/S 2009
Something New from J. Crew — gray skirt
I also wear booties from Barbara Bui (closeups are available elsewhere on my blog, so look around if you like) and tights from Wolford (Honeycomb in drizzle).

Look Ma, no hands! Obviously, the timer went off before I got my arms into the sleeves. Anyway, I show you the back of the coat so you can see the cute bow detail.
More coming soon. Thanks for reading. — Carole

*Chuckles with you* at fierce. I understand and try to limit its use too. Thank you.

Oh, that Ossie combo is stunning! A great idea whether it was 1 season ago or 5

Thank you. I’m crazy for orange, though it’s not my best color.
