Last night, I talked Mr. Sasy into going for dinner at one of my favorite little Italian restaurants. I could very happily live on fresh whole wheat pasta smothered in rich, spicy marinara every day for the rest of my life, but it’s not always an easy sell to Mr. Sasy, who needs far more culinary variety. Hence, it’s a pretty big deal to me when I get a spaghetti opportunity.
Anyway, since I was far more excited about food than fashion last evening (blasphemous, I know), my clothes took a bit of a back seat and were very simple and effortless. Also, another important reason for the simplicity is that I mixed stripes (from the sweater) and flowers (on the shoes).

I wore an Easton Pearson sweater, a Tahari skirt, Alexandra Neel shoes, and no-name bracelets made of painted nuts.
If you look very closely in the picture, you can see that the skirt is actually two layers — the bottom layer is a sage green silk (the same green as the shoes) and the top layer is a smokey metal-blend fabric. I really like that the top-layer fabric crinkles because the more it crinkles, the better it looks.
I didn’t get a good shot of the shoes while I was still in them so I took a picture of them after we got back. Here they are …

That’s all for now. I will post more soon. Thanks for reading. — Carole

Oooooh AND I really like the way “Effortless” declines itself on such a “Flowering Fetish” mode with You
ps: Eeeeuuhhh (“extremely shy”) You know Carole, I have a confidence . . . personally I am very awkward when it is question of eating Spaghettis (YES, I have “two left hands”) !!!

Hi Marlena, Thanks so much. Those shoes are very old. I wouldn’t know where to begin looking. Maybe consignment stores or ebay? Good luck and I wish I could have been of more help to you.
