Thanks to everyone for your kind wishes for a speedy recovery. My knee is much better and it won’t be long before I’m out of sweats and knee wrapping. Trust me, the look is not photo worthy.
In the meantime, I will show you one of the assignments from my photography class I took several months ago. The task was to find something in the genre of fine art and use it as inspiration for a photograph. I chose Wayne Thiebaud’s work as my stimulus. In particular, I selected Thiebaud’s “Pies, Pies, Pies”, “Cakes”, and “Hot Dog Row”.

My work …

"Shoe String", 2008, Carole V.
The photographer who led the class was far more impressed with my other work (not shown here) – I think shoes just aren’t his thing.
As I implied in the title of this post, I’m much better and it shouldn’t be but another couple of days before I am able to strap on the stilettos and get back to business. See you soon. — Carole

What better subject than shoes? I wholly approve even if your teacher did not
Some day you should really post photos of your entire collection by the way, although I don’t know if my mind would be able to handle dealing with all that amazingness at once!
