In this post, I review the Tracy Feith for Target Leather Biker Jacket. With all the fuss over this piece, imagine my surprise to walk into Target on Tuesday (two days after the “official” release) and see this jacket just hanging there. Prior to walking in, I had no intention of buying any of the Tracy Feith pieces, but that jacket was calling out, “Please take me home!”
What would you like to know, I wonder — Let’s take a stab here …
- First, it runs true-to-size.
- Second, it’s pig leather. Not a big deal — often, pig leather is used in “leather linings” and is used for suede creation. I’ve heard some folks complain about pig vs. calf leathers, which is the only reason I mention it. The only “gotcha” about pig leather is that it is somewhat delicate. Also, I think it might be a bad idea to get caught in the rain in this jacket — I don’t know for sure, just a gut feeling, but I think rain would leave water spots.
- Next, since it’s pig leather, it’s really, really soft. And as much as I hate to use tired phrases, it truly is like butter.
- And my final observation, it’s good value. *IF* you pay the price Target is charging, it’s totally worth it. If you decide to buy elsewhere, like on ebay, I wouldn’t pay too much over Target price. If you do pay the really big bucks, I think you’ll be disappointed (and maybe even angry.) I would be.
What kind of review would this be without pictures?
I show the jacket worn open, worn closed, and a closeup …

Tracy Feith for Target Leather Biker Jacket

D&G skirt, Loeffler Randall Perforated Flat Boot

I also wear a denim skirt by D&G, a blouse I bought in the 80s from Talbots (Talbots used to make really nice, elegant clothes; it’s quite different today, I regret to say), and Loeffler Randall perforated boots.
I picked up one other Tracy Feith Target piece. Review coming soon. — Carole

Oh, it looks so nice on you! I almost ordered it online but I have two leather jackets already that I barely use, so I decided to be good. What other TF piece did you pick up? I am so tempted by the white dress. The floral dress with the bubble hem I also thought was very cute, but obscenely short.

I should have been good too, as I also have leather jackets rarely used. But the price was soooo good for what it is. The other Tracy Feith piece I picked up is the obscenely short dress . What can I say? I’m obscenely short too.
Thank you again for your very nice words!

Hi, I love the jacket on you!
Cool blog!
Which Target carries this jacket? I don’t own a leather jacket and this seems affordable. Target.com doesn’t have any! Thanks
