As you may remember from previous posts, I’m in sale mode currently. I’m very excited about picking up these killer Laurence Dacade shoes a couple of weeks ago at a very good price. I love the quilting on the ankle cuff (so Chanel) and the buckle closures. I wear them here with a Rochas lace trimmed skirt, a Heidi Weisel shell over a Michael Stars camisole, a no name crochet knit cardigan, an Elizabeth Showers chain and vintage faux pearls.

Check out these famous “gun shoes” Laurence Dacade designed for Chanel. I believe the intended message is that high heels are torture. Sort of gives new meaning to Rachel Zoe’s phrase, “I die.”, doesn’t it?

Here’s a closeup of my Dacades — a far less controversial (and more wearable) design …

Though we are currently in a heat wave (it got up to 100 degrees on Saturday!), thank goodness for the Bay Area microclimates. Because we stayed in the hills, it was chilly enough to wear this many clothes. More is coming soon. Thank you for reading. — Carole

Mmmmmh I truly think that the Fashionista MUST give in to the “Fetish Temptation” !!!!

Hi Antoine, The Chanel “gun shoes” *are* quite interesting! Sadly, I know that I would (at best) wear them only once, since they are such a “statement making” shoe. They are much too expensive to do that!

Hi Joyce, Thanks for your compliment! No, I’m afraid I bought that skirt back in (I *think*) 2005. Your best bet is probably ebay. Good luck!

I love the interplay between the heels, the lace of the skirt, the pearls, and the crochet duster…you look great
