Channeling a Village Person

After looking at my pictures of last night’s outfit, I couldn’t help chuckling to myself and thinking that I must have felt (unconsciously) inspired by the Native American-attired member of the Village People.  I wore a Maison Martin Margiela “Big Sky” dress, a feather and “faux”-stoned necklace from Marni, sequin leggings from Express (would have been more authentic if the leggings had been beaded suede though), and shoes from Miu Miu.  I had a lot of fun wearing it and here it is …

A close up for better detail on the necklace …

Oh no, now I can’t get “Y.M.C.A.” out of my head.  More to come soon & thanks always for reading.  — Carole

  1. babe, i love every single piece you’re wearing! i agree ‘bou the suede leggings, although i’d kill for that sequin ones and i think the outfit still works! i’m trying to find some neckpiece similar to yours, but the trend doesn’t seem to have totally arrived to cheapy spanish shops yet. there are some big jewellry pieces, but not my cup of tea. guess i’ll have to wait or make my own, but i’m not too handy and all my attempts have failed miserably! hahahahha

    keep on posting! kisses!!!

    • patriflux, I thank you so much for the sweet comments you’ve left for me. Do you have any stores like Forever 21 or Target in Spain? They often do inspired versions of Marni jewelry. I agree that it would be challenging to make a necklace like that as the materials are hard to get. TTYL — Carole
