Never Say Never Again

I am wearing a Heidi Weisel shell, a vintage Gianfranco Ferre skirt, vintage “pearls”, an Elizabeth Showers gold chain, and Manolo Blahnik lace booties.

I really love the “architectural construction” of the skirt ruffle.  Mr. Ferre’s designs always feel fresh, no matter how old they are.  Fashion has lost a true genius in Gianfranco Ferre’s passing last year.

I really didn’t expect to dig these lace booties out of storage (I’ve had them for at least 4 years) to wear this season, but they are so right now, I couldn’t resist.  I love Manolo Blahnik, he never disappoints.  And though not always the edgiest shoe designer, his designs (and comfort factor) stand the test of time.

  1. I couldn’t give karma to you on TFS, so I decided to comment here!

I love those lace booties! By themselves they’re beautiful, but with that particular dress, they’re perfection. A classic touch to a somewhat funky silhouette. You look great! :)

  2. [...] With my f21 hitch skirt, I wear a top from Target, three vintage pins, and Manolo Blahnik lace covered mesh booties that I’ve had for about a million years.  I liberated the booties from storage last year when Roberto Cavalli and Sergio Rossi did some similar lace ones (bless their hearts for jogging my memory) and I haven’t put them back yet.  A closeup is available here, for the interested reader.
