This post is a “try on” post.  I received some new items today and since pictures alway tell the story so much more clearly,  I tried my stuff on and photographed it to see what I think.

In the first picture, I put on a dress I’ve had for a while, but haven’t worn yet.  It is a lightly quilted, aymmmetric dress by Nina Ricci.  (So if you’re thinking I look fat or shapeless, do remember it’s quilted.)  The OTK boots are Moschino Cheap and Chic from either last year or the year before — don’t recall exactly.

In the next picture, I wear the same dress, but add a no name black cardigan I picked up at Nordstrom in what I call the “no man’s land” department — you know, one of those areas of the store that doesn’t seem to belong to any of the other departments, like Savvy, Collectors, Brass Plum, etc.  I wear these pieces with Wolford tights (which you’ve seen a lot on here if you’re a regular reader) and my new Loeffler Randall booties. I adore these booties.  They are *very* reminiscent of the Chloe Jodie Mary Janes from a couple of years ago, though I don’t think they’re going to be quite as comfortable.

In the last picture, I try on another dress I’ve had forever and never worn.  It is a giraffe print dress by Moschino Cheap and Chic.  I wear it with a Theory belt and LAMB shoes, which also arrived today. I not only tried this outfit on, I wore it out tonight to eat spaghetti, a major weakness of mine :)

Thanks for reading.  More to come soon.  –Carole
